Horizon Avionics, Inc. was formed in September 2001 by the current owner Jonathan Foulds, who opened up the Avionics Shop for the then FBO, KnoxAir, Inc. in 1988. Horizon Avionics, Inc. was formed to purchase the avionics shop from the FBO. The FBO was later sold to TacAir.

Since that time, Horizon Avionics, Inc. has expanded it’s capabilities to include interior and cabinet repair/refurbishment, aircraft maintenance services for GA and Corporate aircraft owners, on-call maintenance to the Air Carriers, and ground equipment (GSE) maintenance.
